Originally a small farming town, Kerman has experienced phenomenal growth over the past several years. 2000 Census reported Kerman’s growth increased by 59% in the 1990s. Kerman is one of the fastest growing cities in West Fresno County and is the business and commercial center for West Fresno County.

As well as the country’s highest peak (Damavand, 5604 metres), there are several popular ski resorts here, including Dizin, Shemshak, Tochal and Darbandsar. Maheen says that there is a marvelous nature in Alborz Mountains that you can find in nowhere. Some people believe descriptions of paradise in Quran are about north of Iran.
