Aliyeh Massoud is diamonds identifying art student in an art university in Tehran. Aliyeh tells that she is studying about diamonds art and today she wants to give some tips to our readers that if a diamond is real or fake. She says that there are many tests you can do in order to find out whether a diamond is real or not. Deciding which tests may be reliant on whether you already have the diamond or if you are in a jeweler’s store looking at a piece, whether loose or a diamond in a setting. Be subtle to not alarm the retailer, but you can test stones that are loose. Set the loose gemstone on a newspaper page or book leaf. In this part of the evaluation process, hold the diamond over some printed matter, and look at the diamond and its affect or lack of affect on your perception of the text. Do you observe any lines of writing? When looking into a stone, you should find out if text can be magnified in the stone. If you have answered yes, then you might not be in the market for an authentic diamond. Reflection does not happen in diamond and therefore it cannot be used in magnification.

There are a couple of ways to find out if a diamond is genuine, however there is no way to be certain unless you obtain expert certification. If you aren’t sure you can trust the jeweler or if the deal seems too good to be true, walk away and listen to your instincts when shopping for a diamond. Do not take the chance only to end up getting scammed.
