Abadan Girls Love To Eat Ice Cream

Dear friends this photo is of three beautiful girls of city high school Abadan. The island of Abadan is 40 miles long and from 2 to 12 miles wide. The island is bounded by the Shatt al-Arab River on the west, the Karun River on the north, and the Persian Gulf on the south. Muslim geographers during first mentioned the city, 9 miles from the northwestern tip of the island, in the mid-ninth century. In medieval times it was of importance to travelers and navigators as a source of woven straw mats, supplier of salt, and center of shipping and navigation. In the picture these girls are sitting in school park and eating ice cream.

Maryam Abbas belongs to beautiful Iranian city Yazd. She is from rich family and loves to cook different types of dishes. Maryam tells that among many other things, Iran is also famous for its food. Iranian food, the other name for Persian food is extremely delicious and fresh. The rice and Khoresht is the most important meal in the Iranian diet. Most of the cuisine in Iran is rice based and there are limitless kinds of rice dishes. Rice is grown extensively in Iran and hence is quite inexpensive.
